One-stitch Facelift Surgery in Detail
Sometimes called a micro or mini facelift, this procedure targets the mid-section of your face. It uses minimal stitches to lift the sagging skin in this area and result in a more youthful complexion.
During the procedure, your surgeon will make 1-2 small incisions in the side of your face to access the sub-dermal tissue and use just 1 stitch to lift and anchor it back to its original position.

Before your procedure, you’ll be given either local or general anaesthetic to make sure that any discomfort is minimal.
To begin, your surgeon will make a miniscule incision behind one of your ears to access the sub-dermal tissue, which is the layer beneath your skin. They’ll reposition this layer of skin to be higher up on your face before using a single stitch to hold it in place.
A one-stitch facelift can take around 20 to 45 minutes to complete.

You can expect the results of your one-stitch facelift to last around 5 years, although this will depend on the condition of your skin and how well you look after it.
While there is no ‘best’ time to have cosmetic surgery, you might find that there is an age where you can get your optimum results. For a one-stitch facelift, this might be when you have early signs of ageing but wouldn’t benefit from a traditional facelift.
It’s possible to have other procedures in conjunction with your micro facelift. These might include eyelid surgery, a neck lift, or fat transfer injections. Your surgeon will let you know what’s possible and which procedures may be suitable for you.
